Prone Positioning Set for Respiratory Distress
SO06830

Proper anatomical
alignment

SO06830 is a cushion set from the Bi-Prone line, designed to facilitate the pronation of patients affected by ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). ARDS is a widespread, acute inflammatory lung injury that causes severe respiratory failure, often leading to the need for mechanical ventilatory support.
The four cushions have been specifically engineered to distribute the patient’s body weight evenly, thereby providing a critical pressure-relief function at key contact points: the chest and upper limbs, the iliac crests, the pelvis, and the lower limbs.

Improved lung expansion

Thanks to the reduction of pressure on the chest and abdomen.

Single-Use Polyurethane Headrest

  • Support and stability for the patient’s head
  • Comfort and prevention of pressure sores

Pressure ulcer prevention function

Homogeneous distribution of the patient’s body weight.

Reusable Polyurethane positioning cushions

  • Removable cover in bi-elastic, breathable polyurethane

REUSABLE POLYURETHANE Positioning Cushions

Internally made of polyurethane foam and covered with a microporous, breathable, bi-elastic, waterproof, antibacterial, hypoallergenic, and sterilizable polyurethane fabric. The cover is supported by a Jersey mesh layer with a Velcro closure, allowing for complete removal to enable washing and disinfection.

Hygiene and Safety
WASHABLE + STERILIZABLE

The cover is made of soft, breathable, bi-elastic polyurethane that is waterproof, antibacterial, and flame-retardant. It is machine washable at a maximum temperature of 95°C and can be sterilized in an autoclave at 134°C for 3 minutes.

Operational ease in supporting the RESPIRATORY FUNCTION

It has been demonstrated that prone positioning can improve respiratory function and oxygenation in patients with ARDS. Assuming the prone position exposes the dorsal surface of the body, resulting in altered breathing patterns, which are found to be more evenly distributed between the dorsal and ventral lung regions in this position.
